Lyric Medeiros became Big Brother 28‘s fourth houseguest eliminated, exiting after a last-minute flip sent the house’s votes toward saving Drew Campbell and Melody Morris instead. Her elimination also comes on the heels of losing her two closest allies in the game, Rome Seymour and Jason De Puy, who were voted out in the two past weeks.
In an exit interview with BLKCinema.com, Lyric revealed she’d been running the numbers on who she would have targeted the moment she walked out the door, naming the houseguests she believes have been steering the game unchecked.
Who would Lyric have nominated as HOH?
Lyric said she immediately knew who she’d put on the block if she’d won the Blockbuster competition, pointing to the “icons” themselves– Dee Valladares, Rick Devens and Angela Murray, as she believes have been controlling the game from behind the scenes.
“I literally thought about this, who I would nominate the minute I got out of the house, and I definitely would have put up Dee, Devens and Angela in a heartbeat, because I would have known that they were behind everything if I won that blockbuster,” she said. “So moving forward, I would have definitely gone for that HOH and put them up and said, ‘You guys have been cruising for the last 4 weeks. It’s time that the power shifts in this house. Welcome to the block,’ and I would take that box and walk away, and it would have felt so good.”
Lyric reveals who she and Rome are rooting for to win
Despite not getting the chance to make that move herself, Lyric said she’s satisfied watching LaTrice “LaLa” Verrett win HOH and make big nominations.
“But you know what? I’m so happy Lala won because the power is shifting, and I’m so proud of her for putting up the people that she wanted to put up from the get-go. Go Auntie Lala, we are rooting for you,” she said.
She added that her and Rome’s win pick has narrowed to two remaining houseguests. “Me and Rome want Auntie LaLa or Yash [Patel] to win this whole thing.”
