It is the brainchild of Trey Mangum, a decorated and veteran entertainment journalist with over 10 years of industry experience. Trey is the current Managing Editor of Blavity.com, and for years, spearheaded Blavity’s lauded entertainment property, Shadow and Act.
His film/TV industry experience spans across platforms and mediums, as he is an alum of the SXSW TV and Film Festival Narrative Features Jury, and is a frequent awards pundit, currently appearing annually in The Los Angeles Times Envelope for Emmy predictions. His work has also appeared in and on MTV News, The Hollywood Reporter, Bustle, Polygon and more.
Trey’s reporting has included everything from being the first to report news of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Superman film, and he is also well-recognized for his reporting in the reality TV space, especially within the Love Island USA and RuPaul’s Drag Race fandoms.
