Damon Wayans will guest star in the Season 3 premiere of NBC’s St. Denis Medical, reuniting with his former In Living Color castmate David Alan Grier.

Wayans will play Dr. Highland, described as “a charming but pompous new doctor at St. Denis” who fills in while Ron (Grier) recovers from surgery. Per the official description, all the patients and staff, aside from Alex, “have fallen head over heels for him and his insights.”
What is ‘St. Denis Medical’ about?
Per the official description, the mockumentary follows “an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.” In Season 3, per the official description, “romantic entanglements and personal struggles complicate relationships in the Emergency Department, pushing some St. Denis employees to the brink.”
The series also stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi. Eric Ledgin serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Justin Spitzer, Simon Heuer, Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu. The series is produced by More Bees, Inc. and Spitzer Holding Company for Universal Television.
