Netflix has confirmed Grown Ups 3, reuniting Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello and Salma Hayek Pinault more than 13 years after the last installment. The film has begun production in New Jersey, and a first image from set has been released.
Who is in the cast of ‘Grown Ups 3’?
Julie Bowen, Deon Cole and Bailee Madison join the franchise for the first time. They’re joined by returning cast members Jackie Sandler, Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Quinn, Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, Ellen Cleghorne, Nick Swardson and Steve Buscemi, along with Jake Goldberg, Alexys Nycole Sanchez, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Ada-Nicole Sanger, Morgan Gingerich, Kaleo Elam, Nadji Jeter and Kamil McFadden.
What is ‘Grown Ups 3’ about?
Per the official description: “Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure.”
The original Grown Ups introduced five childhood friends reuniting over a Fourth of July weekend after 30 years apart, with the 2013 sequel bringing the group back together when Sandler’s character moves back to their hometown. Kyle Newacheck, who directed Happy Gilmore 2, helms the third installment.
Tim Herlihy and Sandler co-wrote the script, having previously teamed on Grown Ups 2, Happy Gilmore 2 and Hubie Halloween. Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo and Herlihy produce for Happy Madison. Fred Wolf, Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, Jackie Shenoo, Aidan Elliott, Kristen Ploucha and Sarah Sarandos executive produce.
