A houseguest who never made it on camera has became one of the more talked-about names of the CBS’ Big Brother 28 pre-season.
Levi, 28, is a winery executive from Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, who works at JOLO Winery & Vineyards, according to his LinkedIn profile. He had completed the full Big Brother casting process, including his official contestant portrait and the show’s mandatory two-week pre-season sequester, before his name was missing from CBS’s official cast reveal video, per TV Insider. Fans first noticed the discrepancy after an early press image and bio identifying Levi were quietly taken down.
Why did Levi drop out of ‘Big Brother 28’?
Levi addressed his exit directly in an Instagram video posted the same day the season premiered. “I was all set and ready to move into the Big Brother house this season,” he said, “and as we got closer and closer and closer to the move-in day, I just kinda realized that this was not the right fit for me personally,” according to TV Insider.
He called it “probably the hardest decision of my entire life” and said he remains on good terms with CBS. A network spokesperson confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Banks chose to leave the show, per TV Insider.
CBS has not addressed the earlier, conflicting reports from The U.S. Sun that Levi was removed over a breach of the show’s confidentiality protocol during sequester.

Yash Patel, a 24-year-old financial analyst from Monroe Township, New Jersey, moved into the Big Brother 28 house in Levi’s place as an alternate.
