Diarra is back and back at it again, diving into another crime caper in the new footage for Season 2 of Diarra From Detroit.
Paramount+ has released the trailer for Season 2 following the recent Essence Festival activation where creator and star Diarra Kilpatrick and cast member DomiNque Perry surprised fans with an ice cream truck pop-up in New Orleans.
What happens in Season 2 of ‘Diarra From Detroit’?
According to the official description, “Diarra is determined to leave the chaos behind and finally enjoy a little peace. Instead, a routine furniture recovery mission lands her in the middle of a grisly new crime, setting off another wildly unpredictable adventure through Detroit’s criminal underworld. As the mystery deepens, she’ll go undercover with a secret society, chase buried treasure, and navigate a love life that’s every bit as complicated as the case itself.”
Who stars in Season 2 of ‘Diarra From Detroit’?
Kilpatrick returns alongside Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark and Jon Chaffin, with Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad and Harry Lennix also back. The all-star guest lineup this season includes Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone, Shoniqua Shandai, Nicco Annan and Jude Demorest, among others.
The series is executive produced by Kilpatrick, Kenya Barris and showrunner Miles Orion Feldsott. The series is produced by BET Studios and Khalabo Ink Society.
When does ‘Diarra From Detroit’ Season 2 premiere?
Diarra from Detroit Season 2 premieres July 29 on Paramount+ with two episodes, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday through Sept. 9.
