Rivals has been renewed for a third season on Hulu with 12 new episodes, the streamer announced. The renewal comes ahead of the second batch of Season 2 episodes, arriving this November on Hulu.
According to the official description for Season 3, “as the dust settles post the scandalous revelations in Season Two, the stakes become higher and the alliances more fragile, with nothing staying buried for long. New romances blossom, old flames rekindle and shocking secrets will be spilled in this third series which takes everyone’s favorite rivalries to the next level.”
What happens in Season 2 of ‘Rivals’?
The second season finds “Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s contest for the Cotswolds crown” hitting a fever pitch, while “Rupert Campbell-Black is forced to confront his own personal demons. Across hedonistic parties, Bonfire Night chaos, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and a turbulent Christmas, affairs unravel, alliances fracture and rivalries intensify.”
Who stars in ‘Rivals’?
Returning cast includes David Tennant as Lord Tony Baddingham, Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara, Nafessa Williams as Cameron Cook, Bella Maclean as Taggie O’Hara, Katherine Parkinson as Lizzie Vereker, Danny Dyer as Freddie Jones, Victoria Smurfit as Maud O’Hara and Emily Atack as Sarah Stratton, among others. Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett return as guest stars, with Rachael Sterling, Rupert Evans and Santiago Cabrera joining as new guest stars.
Rivals is made by Happy Prince, part of ITV Studios, and executive produced by Dominic Treadwell-Collins, Alexander Lamb, Felicity Blunt, Elliot Hegarty, Olivier Award-winning playwright Laura Wade and Rivals author Dame Jilly Cooper. Based on the novel by Cooper.
When does ‘Rivals’ Season 2 return?
The second batch of Season 2 episodes arrives this November on Hulu. A premiere date for Season 3 has not yet been announced.
