Netflix has released the trailer for Outer Banks Season 5, the final season of the beloved YA adventure series, alongside a major fan event announcement.

According to the official description, the final season “finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco. Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats. With Chandler Groff still at large, Dalia and the Corsairs closing in, and the Kooks ensuring the Pogues have no home to return to, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, and Cleo must rely on their scrappy instincts — and an uneasy alliance with Rafe — to keep from falling apart for good. Their mission is now a desperate race to reclaim their future and finally win the freedom they’ve been chasing since the beginning.”
What is the ‘Pogues For Life’ fan farewell event?
On Aug. 15, Netflix is hosting Pogues for Life: A Fan Farewell Event with the Cast of Outer Banks in Los Angeles. The event will feature the inaugural “Pogue Awards,” a fan-voted awards show spanning five seasons, with voting opening Aug. 6 on Tudum.com. Following the awards, the full cast — Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Carlacia Grant and Drew Starkey — will reunite for an on-stage conversation before an advance screening of the Season 5 premiere. The event will also be livestreamed on Tudum.com for fans who can’t attend in person.
Who stars in ‘Outer Banks’ Season 5?
The returning cast includes Stokes as John B., Cline as Sarah Cameron, Bailey as Kiara, Daviss as Pope, Grant as Cleo, Starkey as Rafe, Austin North as Topper, Fiona Palomo as Sofia, J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff and Cullen Moss as Shoupe. The series is created by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, who also serve as executive producers and writers.
