Investigation Discovery has announced Game Day Murders, a new six-episode true crime series executive produced by Shaquille O’Neal, premiering this month. It is hosted by Lindsay Czarniak, featuring sports-themed murder cases.
O’Neal said in a statement, “I’ve been a true-crime guy my whole life, so working with ID on Game Day Murders was a natural fit. Sports create obsession — I’ve seen it firsthand. But when that obsession breaks the wrong way, it’s something else entirely. People aren’t ready for this show.”
Jason Sarlanis, president of Investigation Discovery, added, “With Shaq’s lifelong passion for true crime and Lindsay Czarniak’s deep understanding of the culture and impact of sports, Game Day Murders offers a compelling look at the cases that shocked fans, shattered expectations, and altered the fabric of the world of sports.”

The season spans cases across professional and college sports, with firsthand accounts from families, teammates and those closest to each case. The full episode rundown:
“A Killer Recruit” — July 27
The series premiere revisits the 2003 disappearance and murder of Baylor University basketball player Patrick Dennehy. For the first time, his teammate Ellis Kidd Jr. shares his personal account of the investigation that exposed one of college basketball’s biggest scandals.
“Ice Cold Conspiracy” — Aug. 3
“When St. Louis Blues player Mike Danton is arrested immediately following the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it sends shockwaves through the hockey world. Could an NHL player be involved in a murder for hire plot?”
