Lionsgate has released the trailer for Beware Boiúna, a survival horror film starring Kiana Madeira, Jessica Rothe and Logan Marshall-Green, directed by Mike P. Nelson.
Per the official description, “Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.”
The project was previously known by the working titles Titan and Boiúna: Legend of the Amazon during production, according to Dread Central. Boiúna is a mythical serpent from Brazilian folklore; in the trailer, Madeira’s character describes the creature as the “mother of the waters,” saying, “when there is balance she rests. Imbalance, she defends,” according to UPI. The film has earned an R rating for bloody violent content, grisly images and language, per Dread Central.

Madeira, Rothe and Marshall-Green lead the cast. Alan McElroy wrote the screenplay from a story by McElroy and Tony Giglio. Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer produce.
