A24 has released a teaser for Slayground, Jeremy Saulnier’s Halloween-set thriller starring Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders and Sophie Wilde. The film, previously titled October, opens in theaters early next year.
According to the official synopsis, scare actor Metal Mike Graves “wakes up in a haunted attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers with no memory of how they got there. As a state-wide manhunt closes in, he races to uncover the truth – even if the trail leads straight back to him.”
A24 has kept the film’s rollout under wraps. The Playlist reported in September that a short teaser, which at first looked like an ad for a Halloween attraction, had been playing in theaters ahead of Resident Evil. It also noted a viral site, runlikehell.com, which appeared with a countdown. The release for the new teaser carries a related tagline, “Halloween is only the beginning.”
Smith leads the cast alongside Wonders, Wilde, James Badge Dale, Stanley Simons, Stephen Root, Chris Sullivan and Young Mazino.
Slayground opens in theaters Jan. 29, 2027. Watch the trailer below:
