Jason De Puy became the third houseguest evicted from Big Brother Season 28, exiting the house following a post-veto blowup with Angela Murray and a tea party confrontation with Kamu Kirk.
De Puy entered the Big Brother house as a familiar face to reality competition fans, having just previously competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 11 as Salina EsTitties, a run that ended before reaching that season’s merge.
He reflected on the social game lessons he tried to carry over from his Drag Race All Stars run into his Big Brother game, and where that strategy went wrong. Asked what lessons he applied from All Stars to his Big Brother 28 game, De Puy said he ended up repeating the same misstep that got him eliminated on Drag Race.
Talking to BLKCinema.com in our exit interview, he explained, “I kind of did the same thing I did on All Stars, you know, and on All Stars, I had nowhere to hide, so everyone can see me conspiring, which was my downfall, right? And Big Brother, no one was conspiring at all with me, so I was forcing the conspiring because no one was talking game with me. So, I wanted to play, and I could tell there was people who wanted to play.”
However, he says that putting trust in someone like Drew Campbell sealed his fate, explaining, “I just, I picked the wrong people to play with, I think, when in regards to Drew, right? He went and told everyone everything. Because I told him everything, so I should have kept my mouth shut and trusted the process. I had safety. That’s something I never had on Drag Race. I never had safety on Drag Race. Here I did, so that’s why I felt confident to f*****g go for it, and it bit me in the butt.”
