Hannah Einbinder And Gillian Anderson Star In New Clip For ‘Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma’ From ‘I Saw The TV Glow’ Director

Mubi has released a new clip for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, Jane Schoenbrun’s third feature, ahead of its August theatrical release. The film world premiered in the Un Certain Regard competition at Cannes in May, where it received a six-minute standing ovation, per Variety.

Schoenbrun previously made We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and I Saw the TV Glow, the latter released by A24.

What is ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’ about?

According to the official description, “after years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection. But when she visits the original’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium.” Einbinder plays the director Kris, while Anderson plays Billy, the original film’s reclusive final girl.

Einbinder and Anderson lead alongside Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Quintessa Swindell, Kevin McDonald and Jack Haven. Schoenbrun writes and directs. Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner produce for Plan B, with Brad Pitt among the executive producers. Music is by Alex G, marking his third collaboration with Schoenbrun.
