‘Interview With The Vampire’ Renewed For Season 4 With New ‘Queen Of The Damned’ Title

AMC Global Media has renewed Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire for a fourth season, now titled Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned, with the announcement made during the show’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The news comes just days after Sunday’s Season 3 finale of The Vampire Lestat.

Hannah Moscovitch, who wrote for the first two seasons and executive produced The Vampire Lestat, steps up as showrunner for the new season alongside executive producers Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones. Moscovitch previously created the characters of Akasha and Gabriella for the show.

Dan McDermott, chief content officer of AMC Global Media and president of AMC Studios, said in a statement, “In The Vampire Lestat, Mark, Rolin, Hannah and this extraordinary cast delivered an unforgettable season filled with propulsive storytelling that captivated the passionate and engaged fans of this franchise. We can’t wait to continue the journey with Queen of the Damned, one of the most iconic stories in Anne Rice’s mythology, and watch our established and beloved characters confront Akasha with their world, and ours, very much hanging in the balance.”

The Vampire Lestat stars Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Sheila Atim, Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle, and is executive produced by Johnson, Jones, Moscovitch, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
