AnnaSophia Robb is joining Will Smith in Supermax, the Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax thriller directed by David Gordon Green.
Deadline exclusively reported the news, and wrote of the casting, “Robb is set to play Smith’s young partner in the film as the two detectives enter the depths of a supermax prison to solve a mysterious murder.”
The script comes from David Weil and David J. Rosen, known for Hunters and Invasion, who also executive produce. Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman of The Picture Company produce alongside Smith and Adam Fishbach for Westbrook. Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman, president of film Alexandra Loewy and COO Thom Zadra also executive produce, per Deadline.
Green previously worked with Rosen on the Apple TV series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, and The Picture Company just wrapped Weil’s feature directorial debut Tyrant, also Amazon MGM and starring Charlize Theron, Julia Garner and Demi Moore, per Deadline.
Robb will soon star I Play Rocky for Amazon MGM and is a part of recurring cast of Prime Video’s Overcompensating for Season 2.
