Netflix has released the first teaser and premiere date for Hollywood Arts, the Victorious spinoff starring Daniella Monet as Trina Vega, marking the character’s return more than a decade after the original series ended.
What is ‘Hollywood Arts’ about?
Per the official description, “in this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school.”
How did ‘Hollywood Arts’ end up at Netflix?
The series was originally developed at Nickelodeon, where it was fast-tracked in early 2025, with casting already underway by that February. Netflix licensed the show and ordered 26 episodes in October 2025, with the streamer securing first-window rights before the series moves to Nickelodeon and Paramount+ for a second-window release, according to Deadline. The move to Netflix came shortly after the completion of the Paramount-Skydance merger, which led to the departure of longtime Nickelodeon chief Brian Robbins, Deadline reported.
Victorious creator Dan Schneider, who parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018, has no involvement in Hollywood Arts. The series comes from writers and showrunners Jake Farrow, who was a writer-producer on Victorious and its spinoff Sam & Cat, and Samantha Martin, known for Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger and The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder.

Monet reprises her role as Trina Vega, joined by Alyssa Miles, Erika Swayze, Emily Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson and Martin Kamm. Yvette Nicole Brown also reprises her iCarly/Victorious universe role as Helen.
Samantha Martin, Jake Farrow, Monet, Shauna Phelan and Jonathan Judge executive produce.
