Apple TV has released the trailer for Season 5 of Trying, with Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) facing a new upheaval when Princess and Tyler’s biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley) shows up at their door.
What happens in Season 5 of ‘Trying’?
According to the official description, Season 5 finds Nikki and Jason “dealing with the consequences of Princess (Scarlett Rayner) and Tyler’s (Cooper Turner) biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley) turning up at their doorstep, and the whirlwind of chaos she brings into their settled family life.”
Who stars in Season 5 of ‘Trying’?
Returning alongside Smith and Spall are Darren Boyd, Siân Brooke, Celia Imrie, Phil Davis, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Colin Morgan.
This season’s soundtrack is helmed by Ivor Novello Award-winning artist Orla Gartland, with original songs debuting each episode. Her upcoming single “At The End Of The Day” also features in the trailer.
Trying is created and executive produced by Andy Wolton, alongside executive producers Josh Cole, Sam Pinnell, Chris Sussman, Smith and Spall. Produced by BBC Studios for Apple TV.
When does ‘Trying’ Season 5 premiere?
Trying Season 5 debuts July 8 on Apple TV with one episode weekly through Aug. 26.
