Regina Hall has signed on to Universal’s Naughty, the holiday comedy directed by Olivia Wilde, starring Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage. Deadline exclusively broke the news. The report states that Hall plays a friend who accompanies Aniston’s character on a trip to the North Pole.
Per Deadline, “Naughty follows Mallory (Aniston), whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus (Dinklage) and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing.”
Aniston and Dinklage lead the cast, with Hall now on board. Chase Sui Wonders and Ike Barinholtz have also joined, per Deadline.
Wilde directs from a script by Jimmy Warden, which began as one of his spec scripts. LuckyChap produces alongside Wilde and Warden. Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell oversee the film for Universal.
After recently starring in One Battle After Another and Scary Movie 6, she also starred in the Peacock series The Five-Star Weekend. Her other upcoming projects include starring with Will Ferrell in Nick Stoller’s Judgment Day for Prime Video and opposite Adam Driver in Netflix’s limited series Rabbit, Rabbit. She’s also currently production on the Amazon MGM’s Lizard Music with Dwayne Johnson, directed by Benny Safdie.
Wilde just recently directed and starred in the A24 film, The Invite.
Universal will drop Naughty in theaters on Nov. 5, 2027.
