Amazon MGM Studios has announced that Love of Your Life, the new romantic drama directed by Rachel Morrison, will world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before streaming on Prime Video. The film marks Morrison’s second feature as director, following The Fire Inside.
The script, written by Julia Cox, won Amazon MGM Studios the project in an October 2024 bidding war described at the time as one of the bigger spec script sales of the year, per Deadline.
Other new films announced for TIFF 2026 include Alpha Gang from David Zellner and Nathan Zellner, Glaxo from Benjamín Naishtat, The Housewife from Ben Shirinian and Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother from Bassam Tariq.
What is ‘Love Of Your Life’ about?
According to the official description, the film follows Maya (Qualley), “whose chance encounter with Charlie (Basso) sets in motion a sweeping romance and a future beyond anything she had imagined. When that future is suddenly upended, Maya is sent hurtling toward an unexpected new life — one that will force her to reckon with who she is, what she wants, and how to love again.”

Alongside Qualley, Basso, Aaron Pierre and Schwarzenegger, the cast includes Catherine Keener, Tamara Lawrance and Corey Johnson. Morrison directs from a screenplay by Julia Cox. Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson produce through their Open Invite Entertainment banner.
When does ‘Love Of Your Life’ premiere?
Love of Your Life world premieres at TIFF before opening in select theaters Oct. 7 and streaming globally on Prime Video Oct. 14.
