The trailer for Falling, the romantic dramedy starring KJ Apa, Isabel May and Archie Renaux, has been released ahead of the film’s October theatrical debut.
As the official description states, “Johnny (Renaux) never expected to fall for Jillian (May) – the enchanting girlfriend of his best friend, Jack (Apa). But as their forbidden attraction ignites, Johnny must choose between his first real love and the friendship that means everything.”
Falling marks Apa’s third collaboration with Gulfstream Pictures, following the motorcycle racing drama One Fast Moveand the Netflix rom-com The Last Summer, per Deadline. A Gulfstream Pictures spokesperson told Deadline, “We are thrilled to be making our third film with KJ, who has grown alongside us in our coming-of-age film The Last Summer, to a fearless motorcycle racer in One Fast Move, to a charming English attorney in Falling. We are also excited to be working with the Krisel brothers, a fresh writing-directing team whom we expect will be original voices in the independent film world in no time.”
Who is behind ‘Falling’?
James and Colin Krisel wrote and directed. Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures produce, alongside Matt Luber and Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment and Piers Tempest of Tempo Productions. Apa, Dakota Rosen and Tom Salentine executive produce. Brainstorm Media holds North American distribution rights. The film was financed by Gulfstream Pictures and Clerendon Road Productions, with Voltage Pictures handling international sales.
When does ‘Falling’ premiere?
Falling opens in theaters Oct. 9, followed by a VOD release Nov. 10. A New York premiere screening and press line is set for Oct. 4. Watch the trailer below:
