Brainstorm Media has acquired North American distribution rights to Falling, a romantic dramedy from writer-director brothers James and Colin Krisel and Gulfstream Pictures.
KJ Apa, Isabel May and Archie Renaux lead the cast.
The official description reads, “What if the woman of your dreams was also dreamt by your best friend? FALLING introduces us to the anti-fairytale romance of an impossible love triangle between lovers and friends, set against the backdrop of endlessly inviting London locales. With charmingly complex performances by Apa, May and Renaux, cleverly subverting all those romantic film tropes, this trio confronts the all-too relatable modern dating complication of preserving relationships while seeking self-fulfillment.”
Brainstorm Media CEO Michelle Shwarzstein said, “We are thrilled to be working with Gulfstream again on another fantastic romance. KJ Apa, Isabel May, and Archie Renaux have a real chemistry on screen, and it’s exactly what makes this love triangle so fun to watch.”
Gulfstream principals said, “We were thrilled to see this gem of a film find its way to a theatrical release with such a stellar cast of KJ, Isabel, and Archie — from emerging filmmakers, The Krisel Brothers.”
James and Colin Krisel wrote and directed. Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures produce, alongside Matt Luber and Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment and Piers Tempest of Tempo Productions. Apa, Dakota Rosen and Tom Salentine executive produce. The film was financed by Gulfstream Pictures and Clerendon Road Productions, with Voltage Pictures handling international sales.
When does ‘Falling’ premiere?
Falling opens in theaters Oct. 9, followed by a VOD release on Nov. 10.
