The Roku Channel has released the trailer for Summer Sparks, a new original romantic comedy starring Jesse Metcalfe and Kathryn Davis. The film arrives this summer on the free streaming platform.
What is ‘Summer Sparks’ about?
According to the official description, the film is set at Camp Evergreen, where single father Adam (Metcalfe) arrives with his competitive son and meets Monica (Davis), “a single mom returning to her childhood camp to share its magic with her own kids. As they navigate cooking mishaps and heartfelt moments, their growing connection adds an extra spark to an already unforgettable summer.”
In a statement, Metcalfe said of the project, “The opportunity to play a single father desperately trying to connect with his son is what drew me to the project. This was my first time working with Roku, and it was a great experience.”
Davis added, “At its heart, this is a story about family, connection, friendship, and finding love in unexpected places.”
Summer Sparks is produced by Champlain Media for Studio TF1 America, directed by Marni Banack and written by Ansley Gordon and Thomas Ambrosini.
