The Television Critics Association (TCA) has announced the winners of its 42nd Annual TCA Awards, with Heated Rivalry taking Program of the Year and Widow’s Bay leading all series with three wins.
Who won at the 2026 TCA Awards?
Heated Rivalry won Program of the Year. Widow’s Bay swept Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, Outstanding New Program and Individual Achievement in Comedy for Kate O’Flynn. The Pitt won Outstanding Achievement in Drama for a second straight year, and Pluribus star Rhea Seehorn won Individual Achievement in Drama.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert won Outstanding Achievement in Variety, Talk or Sketch in its final season, and The American Revolution won Outstanding Achievement in News and Information. The Traitors won Outstanding Achievement in Reality for a third straight year, while Death by Lightning, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical took the Movies/Miniseries, Family Programming and Children’s Programming categories, respectively.
Two Netflix titles made history: Long Story Short won the first-ever Outstanding Achievement in Animation award, and Squid Game won the TCA’s inaugural Outstanding International Series honor.
TCA President Andy Dehnart said, “Creepy ghost stories, hot athlete romance, and a global hive mind all produced engaging television — and outstanding art. With these awards, we continue our tradition of honoring the talented artists and craftspeople who bring entertainment into our homes.”
Who won the Career Achievement Award at the 2026 TCA Awards?
Stephen Colbert received the honorary Career Achievement Award for nearly four decades of work in comedy, television and film. His career spans The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, earning 11 Emmy wins and two Grammys. He’s set to co-write the next Lord of the Rings installment with his son, Peter McGee, and Philippa Boyens.
Who won the Heritage Award at the 2026 TCA Awards?
In Living Color received the TCA’s 25th Heritage Award. The Fox sketch series ran from 1990 to 1994, led by creator Keenen Ivory Wayans alongside siblings Marlon, Damon, Kim, Shawn and Dwayne, and launched the careers of Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey and David Alan Grier, among others. In 1992, it became the first entertainment program to air opposite the Super Bowl, drawing 20 million viewers.
