‘Elle’ Trailer: Meet The Cast Of Prime Video’s Legally Blonde Prequel, Already Renewed For Season 2

Prime Video has released the trailer for Elle, a prequel series set before the events of Legally Blonde. The eight-episode first season debuts this summer, with Prime Video already ordering a second season ahead of the premiere.

What is ‘Elle’ about?

According to the official description, Season 1 follows Elle Woods in 1995, “as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other.”

Who stars in ‘Elle’?

Lexi Minetree leads the cast as Elle Woods, alongside June Diane Raphael as her mother Eva and Tom Everett Scott as her father Wyatt. The cast also includes Jacob Moskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker and Amy Pietz. Recurring cast members include James Van Der Beek, David Burtka, Jessica Belkin, Logan Shroyer and others.

The series is created by Laura Kittrell, who co-showruns and executive produces alongside Caroline Dries. Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Amanda Brown, Marc Platt and Brad Van Arragon also executive produce. Jason Moore directed the first two episodes and executive produces. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Hello Sunshine.

When does ‘Elle’ premiere?

Elle debuts July 1 on Prime Video with all eight episodes.
