Druski Signs Multi-Year Netflix Deal As Comedy ‘Collect & Praise’ With Mike Epps Sets Premiere, Drops Trailer

,

Netflix has signed Druski to a multi-year deal to create original content, and his first project is the semi-scripted comedy series Collect & Praise, which premieres next month. Druski and his company, 4LIFERS Entertainment, will also license part of his existing catalog to the streamer.

Per the official description, “Faith comes second to fortune as a money-hungry megachurch pastor (Druski) and his unpredictable deacon (Mike Epps) scheme their way through scandal, chaos and controversy in this comedic episodic series.” Drew “Druski” Desbordes stars as the pastor, a character the series builds on, and Epps plays the deacon. No other cast members have been announced.

Druski and 4LIFERS Entertainment will create original content for Netflix under the multi-year agreement, and Collect & Praise is the first of several original projects they will produce for the streamer. Netflix will also license select content from his existing catalog, including Coulda Been Love, Coulda Been Daddy, Coulda Been Records Auditions and his comedic skits.

“I’ve built my platform by creating characters and comedy that resonate with people,” Druski said.

John Derderian, the Netflix VP who oversees Next Gen Content, said, “Druski has a gift for building characters that people can’t stop talking about.” He added, “Collect & Praise is just the beginning, and we welcome Druski to Netflix.”

Collect & Praise premieres Dec. 1 on Netflix.
