Druski has joined the cast of The Catch, the upcoming Universal Pictures romantic comedy starring Emma Stone and Chris Pine.
Deadline first reported the news of the casting, and also reported that Ashley Padilla had joined the pic as well.
According to Deadline, the film is “a baseball rom com in the vein of Bull Durham and Notting Hill,” with Druski set to play Stone’s security guard.
The film is directed by Dave McCary and is set to open May 21, 2027.
Jen Statsky and Travis Helwig wrote the most recent draft of the script, from an original spec by Patrick Kang and Michael Levin. Stone, McCary and Ali Herting produce through Fruit Tree, with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine producing through 21 Laps. Michael H. Weber also produces.
The film brings Druski back to Universal, as he starred in the studio’s Peacock film Praise This with Chloe Bailey. He will soon host the 2026 BET Awards on June 28, making him the youngest-ever host in the ceremony’s 25-year history.
