Disneyland Resort’s holiday season kicks off Nov. 13 and runs through Jan. 6, bringing new character looks, returning entertainment and festive food to both parks.
What’s new for the holidays at Disneyland Resort this year?
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends will debut new holiday attire starting Nov. 13, styled around holiday travel and a wintry alpine gathering. Santa also gets a new stop this year: through Dec. 24, he’ll appear at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, in addition to his usual spots around the resort.
What returning holiday entertainment is at Disneyland Resort?
“World of Color – Season of Light” is back at Disney California Adventure, while over at Disneyland, “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” takes over Main Street, U.S.A. The park’s nighttime fireworks show, “Believe… in Holiday Magic,” returns too, complete with artificial “snowfall.”
The seasonal ride overlays are back as well: Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday at Disneyland, plus Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.
What is Disney Festival of Holidays?
Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure, bringing seasonal food, live entertainment and celebrations of the many ways families mark the holidays. Guests can grab a Sip and Savor Pass to sample food and drinks, catch the “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade with the Holiday Toy Drummers, and stop by Redwood Creek Challenge Trail to visit Santa, according to the event’s page.
