‘Big Brother 28’s Chuk Anyanwu On Whether He’d Have Worked More Closely With Anyone Else In Hindsight

Chuk Anyanwu became the fifth houseguest evicted from Big Brother 28, falling in a 9-1 vote during Week 5 after Head of Household LaTrice “Lala” Verrett placed him on the block alongside Haley Thogmartin and Barrett Pfeiffer. Now looking back on his run, Chuk says there’s no one he wishes he’d aligned with more closely, even with the benefit of hindsight.

Does Chuk Anyanwu wish he’d worked with anyone differently?

Chuk said the constantly shifting nature of alliances in the house made it difficult to lean on anyone consistently, even people he trusted early on.

“I don’t think there’s anyone I could have worked with closely based off the way I was game playing in the house. Everyone in there truly were forming so many different, many alliances to where it truly now is in the moment, the house, the current standings, who can you trust? And early on, you had your core people who you could trust, but now you can’t trust a soul, and I’ve got to see a bird’s-eye view of everything, so I don’t think I would have wanted to work with anyone,” he said in an exit interview with BLKCinema.com.

Who did Chuk Anyanwu trust most in the house?

Chuk pointed to Haley Thogmartin and Kamu Kirk as the people he felt most loyal to, though he stopped short of saying a tighter bond with either would have changed his outcome.

“Who’s in there closely, right? I truly felt this loyalty to Haley and Kamu. And sucks cause Kamu was a guy to go up to Lala. So I don’t even know if I couldn’t even say that I should have maybe like weaned away and really focused on my relationship with Kamu to make sure like, hey dude, let’s do this, but no, cause look where it got me,” he said.

Ultimately, Chuk said he takes full ownership of how his game played out. “So I’m going to say no. I think how my gameplay played out was my own doing, right? I can’t really say that I’ll put it on to someone to where I think they would have been able to sway it. My gameplay doing is my own doing. So no one I’d go back and be like I should have worked closely with them. They would have maybe helped me say in a little bit more.”
