Samuel L. Jackson’s Taylor Sheridan Series ‘Frisco King’ Drops First Teaser

,

Paramount+ has released a teaser for Frisco King, Taylor Sheirdan’s Tulsa King spinoff starring Samuel L. Jackson, and set the series to arrive this December. Jackson reprises Russell Lee Washington Jr., the character he played as a guest star on Tulsa King, another Sheridan series.

What is ‘Frisco King’ about?

According to the official description, “Written by Taylor Sheridan, Frisco King follows seasoned New Orleans gangster Lee Washington as he lands in Frisco, Texas, and discovers a hustler’s playground hidden beneath the polished surface of American suburbia. Recruiting an ambitious protégé, a loyal driver, and a growing network of eccentric partners, Lee transforms small hustles into big business. But, every new score raises the stakes, and as his influence grows, so do the risks, forcing Lee to stay one grift ahead. Frisco may not know it yet, but its new king has arrived.”

The series picks up from Jackson’s run on season 3 of Tulsa King, where Lee refused an order to kill Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) and left for Frisco to start over, as we reported when Paramount+ released the series’ first-look images.

Who stars in ‘Frisco King’?

Jackson stars with Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann. Stallone makes a special appearance.

Sheridan wrote the series, which expands the Tulsa King universe. Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios produce. Sheridan, Stallone and Jackson executive produce, along with David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, LaTanya Richardson Jackson and Keith Cox. Voros and Friedman each directed four episodes, and Voros directed the pilot.

When does ‘Frisco King’ premiere?

Frisco King premieres Dec. 18 on Paramount+ with two episodes, followed by new episodes each Friday. Watch the teaser below:
