Along with dropping the trailer for the Love Island USA Season 8 reunion, Peacock has renewed Love Island USA for Season 9, with Ariana Madix set to return as host, following a record-breaking summer for the series.
The renewal builds on Peacock’s expanding Love Island franchise slate, joining previously announced third seasons of Love Island: Beyond the Villa and Love Island Games, all premiering in 2027.
Since Season 8 premiered June 2, Love Island USA has garnered more than 19 billion minutes viewed, according to Peacock first-party data. The series ranked as the No. 1 streaming title of summer 2026 to date and the No. 1 streaming reality title for six consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen data from May 25 to July 12. This season also saw 35% of its audience new to the series, per Peacock first-party data.
The Season 8 reunion special, co-hosted by Madix and Andy Cohen premieres Aug. 31, at 9 p.m. ET. Taped in front of a live audience, the special reunites the season’s winners, fan-favorite couples and this year’s bombshells for a look back at their time in the Villa.
