Dancing With the Stars Season 35 is rolling out cast news ahead of its official reveal, with four celebrities confirmed by ABC and several more names circulating through outlet reporting.
Who is confirmed for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35?
Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins were the first two names announced, revealed during Disney’s Get Real event in April. Jackson Olson followed in May, announced during Disney’s upfront presentation, per Deadline. Guillermo Rodriguez was confirmed in June, revealed by Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live!; he was later announced to be partnered with two-time champion Witney Carso.
Higgins told StyleCaster she’d love to be paired with Mark Ballas, with whom she bonded on The Traitors: “Obviously, we have such a good relationship. We got on so well on The Traitors — I know that friendship wasn’t really aired because they can only show so much, but I feel like he’d be able to handle me.” Miller told E! News she feels “determined to put up a good fight in the competition,” per StyleCaster. Olson wrote on Instagram, per StyleCaster, “When I found out I was chosen to be on @dancingwiththestars I didn’t believe it. But I realized that believing in myself was the reason it all happened.”
Carson, who recently announced she’s pregnant with her third child, told Extra host and DWTS judge Derek Hough that Rodriguez took the news well, according to StyleCaster: “I was worried telling [Guillermo] I was pregnant because I was like, ‘hopefully he’s okay with it,’ right? He was like, ‘Actually, I’m really relieved because that means you’re going to take a lot of breaks for food,’ and I was like, ‘Right, yep, that’s true. I will.’”
Who is rumored for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35?
Us Weekly reported on Aug. 19 that Tyler Cameron and Jenna Dewan are set to join the cast, citing sources. Cameron previously competed on Fox’s The Real Dirty Dancing in 2022, finishing in second place with dance partner Anjelah Johnson-Reyes. Dewan began her career as a background dancer for Janet Jackson before working with artists including Pink and Missy Elliott, and is known to many fans for playing Nora Clark in 2006’s Step Up, according to StyleCaster.
TMZ reported on Aug. 20 that Julia Stiles and Tatyana Ali are also joining the cast, citing production sources. Stiles is known for 10 Things I Hate About You and Save the Last Dance. Ali would reunite with her Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star Alfonso Ribeiro, who now co-hosts the series.
Us Weekly reported on Aug. 21 that Conner Leavitt and Sarah Jane Nader are also part of the cast, again citing sources. Leavitt is married to Season 34 contestant Whitney Leavitt, and Nader is the younger sister of Season 33 contestant Brooks Nader. TMZ reported Nader will be paired with a female pro dancer, which would mark only the third same-sex partnership in the show’s history, following JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson in Season 30 and Shangela and Gleb Savchenko in Season 31, per StyleCaster.
Deadline reported that representatives for ABC and Disney did not confirm the rumored names when reached for comment.
Who else is expected to return for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35?
Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough are expected to return, alongside co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, per StyleCaster. Professional dancers Witney Carson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Daniella Karagach, Jenna Johnson, Alan Bersten, Ezra Sosa and Britt Stewart are also likely to return.
When does ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35 premiere?
The full cast will be revealed Wednesday, Sept. 2, on Good Morning America, according to Sports Illustrated. The season premieres over two nights, Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
