Michael, the Antoine Fuqua-directed biopic film about the life of Michael Jackson, is available to purchase and rent on demand starting June 9. The Lionsgate film has been playing in theaters since April 24.

Per Forbes, Michael will be available to purchase for $24.99 and rent for $19.99 on platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google TV, and YouTube Movies & TV. The rental period is 48 hours.
Who is in the cast of ‘Michael’?
The film stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, in the lead role. Colman Domingo plays Joe Jackson and Nia Long plays Katherine Jackson. Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Kat Graham, Larenz Tate, and Derek Luke round out the cast.
Jaafar has spoken about the bond he formed with Domingo on set. “He came and visited while I was on stage rehearsing,” Jaafar told Interview Magazine. “He walked up to me and we just hugged. I really felt that love and protection from Colman throughout the entire shoot.”

Per Forbes, Michael has earned $340.1 million domestically and $509.6 million internationally for a worldwide total of $849.7 million, making it the second-highest-grossing music biopic ever behind Bohemian Rhapsody.
Will ‘Michael’ come to a free streaming service?
Eventually! But not yet. Per Newsweek, the film does not have a free streaming release date set. Physical media, including DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD, arrives July 14, 2026.
