Paramount+ has released the teaser for the fourth and final season of Yellowjackets, which arrives next month. Per the release, the teaser “teases the survivors home at last, and haunted by the price of getting out alive.”
Ahead of the teaser, Paramount+ worked the return into MTV programming. As the announcement notes, the return of the Yellowjackets was was “reported” in an in-universe MTV News segment earlier this week as Alanis Morissette “acknowledged” it during an MTV Unplugged performance of her hit “Ironic.”
According to the show’s official description, “Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
