Pluto TV To Close October Double Feature Fridays ‘Scream’ and ‘Sleepwalker’ Double Feature

Pluto TV is closing out its month of free horror streaming with a Scream (2022) and Sleepwalker double feature this Friday. It’s the last Double Feature Fridays lineup of the month, and it runs alongside the streamer’s October collection of Black horror films and horror films with Black talent.

The pairing is two horror films about the past refusing to stay buried, according to Pluto TV. Scream (2022) picks up 25 years after the Woodsboro murders, when “a terrifying new killer resurrects the Ghostface mask.” Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, joined by Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid and Mason Gooding.

Sleepwalker follows Sarah, whose sleepwalking episodes intensify as she is “haunted by terrifying visions, accelerating her descent into darkness.” Hayden Panettiere stars in what Pluto TV calls her last on-screen project, with Justin Chatwin, Beverly D’Angelo, Mischa Barton, Lori Tan Chinn, Laird Lacoste and Corinne Sweeney.

The Friday pairing adds a second track to a month of free horror on Pluto TV. The collection we previously reported on put the focus on Black horror, including Vampire in Brooklyn with Eddie Murphy and Angela Bassett, the Blacula films with William Marshall, and Candyman: Day of the Dead with Tony Todd. It also included more recent titles like Bones and All, The Reading with Mo’Nique and Body Cam with Mary J. Blige.

Scream (2022) and Sleepwalker stream free on Pluto TV on Friday, Oct. 30. The September collection streams free throughout October, alongside the platform’s on-demand Halloween Hits collection.
