Netflix has released the trailer for Season 2 of Blood Legacy, the South African drama series centered on the Ndlovu family’s fight for control of Spear Industries.
Per the official description, the season “Picks up two years after Khanyi (Xolile Tshabalala) was wrongfully implicated in her father’s death, as she discovers that her arrest was actually a covert abduction orchestrated by a corrupt politician.” As Khanyi works to heal and honor her father’s final wishes, per the official description, “her brothers become entangled in their own conflicts, with Mandla (Buyile Mdladla) succumbing to political corruption fueled by Minister Titus (Ruben Naidoo), and Siya (Mike Ndlangamandla) swept up in a forbidden romance.”
As the family’s dynasty faces public collapse, “a funeral is flooded by paparazzi while ominous threats target Khanyi and her daughter, Amahle (Dineo Rasedile).” MaNdlovu (Thembi Nyandeni) steps in to replace the late Madlamini Ndlovu in an effort to hold the empire together, while the A6 syndicate lurks in the background, and matters escalate when Akin’s (Anthony Oyesemi) protective measures fail following the leak of a manuscript containing the family’s darkest secrets.
The 20-episode season marks the first Netflix original series in the region to offer a complete isiZulu dub, and the season also arrives as part of Netflix’s ongoing celebration of 10 years of storytelling in Africa.

Who is behind ‘Blood Legacy’ Season 2?
Bradley Joshua, Benjamin Overmeyer, Nosipho Dumisa-Ngoasheng, Daryne Joshua, Travis Taute and Simon Beesley executive produce. Nozipho Nkelemba, Nthabiseng Mokoena and Marvin-Lee Beukes direct, with Nkelemba also serving as creative producer. Duduzile Mabaso serves as head writer, alongside writers Bradley Katzen, Kurt Ellis, Bonnie Sithebe, Martin le Maitre and Marvin-Lee Beukes. The series is produced by Gambit Films.
Blood Legacy Season 2 premieres Sept. 25 on Netflix.
