Paramount+ has renewed MobLand for a third season, with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren all confirmed to return, ahead of the show’s Season 2 premiere.
As we previously reported, a third season had been widely expected well before this official confirmation. Reports back in May first raised questions about Hardy’s future on the show, but by late June, Variety reported he was set to return, effectively signaling a renewal was on the way even without formal confirmation.
What is ‘MobLand’ Season 2 about?
Per the official description, “in season two, the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire – and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable ‘fixer,’ must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify. As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy.”
Who stars in ‘MobLand’?
Hardy returns as fixer Harry da Souza, alongside Brosnan and Mirren as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan. Season 2’s cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer and Toby Jones.
David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Hardy, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari and Keith Cox executive produce. The series is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
When does ‘MobLand’ premiere?
MobLand Season 2 premieres Sept. 18 on Paramount+, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays through the season finale on Nov. 20.
