Apple TV has revealed a first look at Last Seen, a new six-episode Australian thriller starring Patrick Brammall. The series, adapted from Ryan David Jahn’s CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning novel The Dispatcher, debuts in September.
What is ‘Last Seen’ about?
Per the official description, the series follows police dispatcher Ian Ridley (Brammall), whose “life fell apart 11 years ago when his young daughter, Maggie, disappeared without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, the only thing that has kept him going is his implacable refusal to accept that she might be gone forever. When he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is certain is Maggie, he will stop at nothing to find her and reunite his broken family, whatever the cost.”
Who stars in the series?
Alongside Brammall, the series stars Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Jessica Wren, Zahra Newman and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes.
The series is directed and executive produced by Christian Schwochow and adapted by Kris Mrksa, who also executive produces. Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta at 60Forty Films and Joanna Werner at Werner Film Productions also executive produce.
When does ‘Last Seen’ premiere?
Last Seen debuts Sept. 9 on Apple TV with two episodes, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday through Oct. 7.
