Aaron Dominguez has joined the cast of Power: Origins, the Starz prequel spinoff that continues the story following Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Deadline broke the news of his casting. Details of his character have not been revealed. He joins previously announced cast members, which include Spence Moore II as Ghost and Charlie Mann as Tommy, taking over the roles originated by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora, as well as MeKai Curtis, who reprises his role as Kanan Stark from Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

Dominguez starring as Oscar Torres, aka Tie-Dye Guy, in the first season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, alongside Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. His other roles have included A24’s The Inspection and Amazon Studios’ Sitting in Bars With Cake. He recently starred in the Tubi horror film, Hive.
What is ‘Power: Origins’ about?
The series, from Raising Kanan show runner Sascha Penn, expands the Power universe by exploring the origin stories of Ghost, Tommy and Kanan as ambitious young entrepreneurs rising through New York City’s streets. Per the official description, “Power: Origins” is “a fun, rambunctious exploration of a new time period in the Power franchise” that “will highlight the unbridled audacity of young men on the rise, determined to become legends in the game.”
Power: Origins is the fourth spinoff in the Power universe, following Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force. A fifth spinoff, Power: Legacy, starring Joseph Sikora and Michael Rainey Jr., was also recently greenlit at Starz.
Who is behind ‘Power: Origins’?
Courtney A. Kemp and Sascha Penn created the series, with Penn serving as showrunner and executive producer from a pilot the two co-wrote. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Mark Canton also executive produce, alongside Chris Selak, Kevin Fox and Pete Chatmon, who also directs. Lionsgate Television produces for Starz.
