MGM+ has picked up Secret Service, an espionage thriller series starring Gemma Arterton, for the United States and several other countries. The series, which aired on ITV in the United Kingdom, will be available to MGM+ viewers in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Italy.
Adapted from Tom Bradby’s novel and originally commissioned by ITV, per the official description, Secret Service “follows senior MI6 officer Kate Henderson (Arterton) as a covert investigation uncovers evidence that a high-ranking UK politician may be working as a Russian asset. With trust shattered and her career on the line, Kate must navigate the shifting sands of political loyalty, international threat, and personal sacrifice as she races to uncover their identity before it’s too late.”

Arterton leads the cast alongside Rafe Spall, Alex Kingston, Mark Stanley, Roger Allam, Amaka Okafor, Aoife Hinds, Avi Nash, Alma Prelec and Khalid Abdalla.
Tom Bradby and Jemma Kennedy created and adapted the series, with James Marsh and Farren Blackburn directing. Gail Egan and Andrea Calderwood executive produce, alongside Bradby and Chloe Sizer. Polly Hill commissioned the series for ITV. The deal marks MGM+’s first acquisition with All3Media International, part of Banijay Entertainment, which is handling worldwide sales.
