Netflix has announced that Steven Yeun will star in and executive produce Pagans, a new series from Joshua Zetumer. Yeun will play Gus, a single father raising two children after the death of his wife.
Per the official description, “Pagans follows a man who becomes the sole caretaker of his two children after the tragic loss of his wife. While his son is typical, his daughter, Alice, is anything but. What starts as a strained father-daughter relationship soon evolves into something far more sinister. Equal parts emotional, horrifying and humorous, Pagans is a show that unearths all our darkest thoughts about family.”
Zetumer serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg for Goddard Textiles, Jonathan van Tulleken, Erica Kay, and Yeun and Christina Oh for Celadon Pictures.
Yeun previously starred in and executive produced Netflix’s Beef, winning an Emmy, Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and SAG award for his performance. He next co-stars in Ben Affleck’s Animals for Netflix.
