HBO’s Task has added Jharrel Jerome, Bethlehem Million, Tim Blake Nelson, Brían F. O’Byrne, Kevin Dunn and Andrew Russel to its Season 2 cast, with Silvia Dionicio also returning. Deadline exclusively reported the news.
According to the official description, Season 2 finds Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) taking “the helm of a new task force, but the deeper the operation runs, the harder it is to tell who’s the target.”
The new additions and their roles, per Deadline:
Jerome as Jordan Barnes, Eddie Barnes’ son.
Million as Lisa Barnes, Eddie Barnes’ daughter.
Nelson as Denny Coughlin, “a career cop who plays by his own rules, recruited to be part of Tom Brandis’ Task Force.”
O’Byrne as Charlie Boylan, “a retired DEA Agent and mentor to Eddie Barnes.”
Dunn as Vince Runyan, “a no-nonsense FBI Agent and Tom Brandis’ boss.”
Russel returns as Ethan Brandis, Tom Brandis’ son.
The additions join returning cast members Ruffalo, Mahershala Ali, Julianne Nicholson, Harry Melling, Adam Nagaitis, Aminah Nieves, Edgar Ramírez, Martha Plimpton and Dionicio.
Brad Ingelsby serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer alongside Paul Lee and Mark Roybal for wiip, Jeremiah Zagar, Ruffalo and Ron Schmidt.
A premiere date for Season 2 has not yet been announced.
