The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is coming to an end. Disney+ has announced that Season 4 will be the series’ last, with a premiere date ahead of the show’s 25th anniversary. An all-new stop-motion holiday special, A Proud Family Wizmas, will also debut later this year.
The news comes alongside a renewed overall deal for creators Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar with Disney Television Animation under their BaR Productions banner.
What happens in Season 4 of ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’?
According to the official description, Season 4 finds “the Proud family at a life-changing turning point. Penny Proud is pulled into a series of unexpected adventures that test her courage and identity. With more action-packed, mind-bending and heartfelt twists than ever before, the Prouds face every new challenge head-on, proving that no matter how chaotic life gets, they’re strongest when they face it together.”
Who guest stars in Season 4?
New guest stars include Mariah Carey, Romany Malco, Chloe Bailey, Lorraine Toussaint, Kym Whitley, Dee Nasty, Adele Givens, Ali Wong, JB Smoove and Lashana Lynch, joining recurring guests Anthony Anderson as Ray Ray and Tiffany Haddish as Ms. Hill.
The core voice cast returns, including Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama and Cedric The Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, among others.
What is ‘A Proud Family Wizmas’?
The stop-motion holiday special is co-directed by David Brooks and produced in partnership with Portland-based stop-motion studio HouseSpecial. Kurt Farquhar returns as songwriter and composer, with six new original songs featured in the special.
The series is produced by Disney Television Animation with Smith and Farquhar executive producing. It has earned a NAMIC Award, multiple NAACP Image Awards including Outstanding Animated Series, and a Children’s and Family Emmy Award.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Season 4 debuts July 29 on Disney+. A Proud Family Wizmas arrives later this year.
