How do you vote on ‘Love Island USA’ Season 8?
Voting is done exclusively through the official Love Island USA app, available for free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. There is no way to vote through the Peacock website or on social media.
After downloading the app, you’ll need to register with a valid U.S. phone number. You must be at least 18 years old and physically located in the United States. Voting is free, and each person gets one vote per voting window.
Per Peacock’s blog, voting windows typically open at the start of an episode. Fans can enable push notifications through the app to get alerted the moment a window goes live.
What does America’s Vote actually decide?
Throughout the season, viewer votes determine a range of outcomes, which couples rank at the top or bottom, who earns dates, which Islanders face elimination, and even when Bombshells enter the villa. Since Islanders have no outside contact during filming, the results of America’s Vote are often their first indication of how the public sees their connections.
What is the country code for ‘Love Island USA’ voting?
The country code for the United States is +1. When registering your phone number in the Love Island USA app, enter 1 in the country code field, then enter your full U.S. phone number in the next field. Several users who ran into registration issues during Season 8’s first vote reported that explicitly entering 1 in both fields resolved the problem, per Parade.
What if the ‘Love Island USA’ voting app isn’t working?
The first public vote of Season 8, which opened June 9, crashed almost immediately due to high traffic. Peacock extended the voting window to 3 p.m. ET on June 10 to compensate. If you run into issues, try these step, according to Parade:
- Close the app completely and reopen it
- Update the app to the latest version via your device’s app store
- Delete the app and reinstall it fresh
- Enter 1 in the country code field and 1 followed by your full phone number in the number field
The show’s official social media accounts also post updates when voting windows are extended or issues are flagged.
