Apple TV has released the trailer for Lucky, a new seven-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Anya Taylor-Joy. The series premieres in July
What is ‘Lucky’ about?
According to the official description, the series follows con artist Lucky (Taylor-Joy) who “is forced to go on the run” when “a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life — and a way out.” The series is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Marissa Stapley, which was also a Reese’s Book Club pick.
Who stars in the series?
Alongside Taylor-Joy, the cast includes Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr. and William Fichtner.
The series is created, co-showrun and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper, with Cassie Pappas co-showrunning alongside him. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter executive produce for Hello Sunshine, with Taylor-Joy executive producing through her LadyKiller banner. Jonathan van Tulleken, who directed the pilot, also executive produces. Produced by Apple Studios and Hello Sunshine.
When does ‘Lucky’ premiere?
Lucky debuts July 15 on Apple TV with two episodes, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday through Aug. 19.
