Are Jalen Brunson and Mariska Hargitay actually friends?
Yes. Brunson and Hargitay have built a close friendship since he joined the Knicks, with Hargitay, a longtime Knicks fan, regularly seated courtside at Madison Square Garden throughout the team’s championship run this year. The day after the Knicks’ Game 4 win, Hargitay told Variety, “I want everyone to throw out every book on leadership they have and replace it with a photo of Jalen. We have so much to learn from his brand of strength… I feel so lucky, so honored, so grateful, that in the future when people talk about that game, which they will forever and ever, I get to say ‘I was there,’” per Variety.
Hargitay confirmed the SVU cameo in August, telling Variety at the HBO Max Emmy Nominee Celebration, “It’s definitely happening. He’s kind of magnificent that way. He is just open and ready. I don’t think there is much Jalen can’t do,” according to Variety.
