Put a Ring on It: Cheathab has quickly become one of OWN’s biggest series of the year, and the network isn’t waiting for the season to end to bring it back. OWN announced it has renewed the unscripted relationship series for two additional seasons, ordering 16 new episodes just as the current season heads into its finale on Sept. 25.
What is ‘Put a Ring on It: Cheathab’ about?
Per the official description: “In Put a Ring On It: Cheathab, long-term couples whose relationships have been rocked by infidelity move into the ‘Cheathab House,’ where they confront the betrayal, trust issues and unresolved questions threatening their futures. Under the guidance of master relationship coach Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson, the couples agree to face temptation head-on by dating other people, including former flings and past love interests who have jeopardized their relationships. As they navigate jealousy, heartbreak, difficult truths and unexpected connections, each couple must ultimately make a life-changing decision: finally ‘put a ring on it’ or walk away for good.”

How has ‘Put a Ring on It: Cheathab’ performed?
According to the network, the series has averaged a 1.49 L3 rating among African American women 25-54 since its July 31 premiere and ranks among the top freshman unscripted series on cable this year among key African American demos. OWN states that the current season ranks No. 2 among original unscripted cable series on Friday nights among African American women 25-54, trailing only the network’s own Belle Collective.
When does ‘Put a Ring on It: Cheathab’ air, and when do the new seasons premiere?
New episodes currently air Fridays at 8 p.m. on OWN. The next episode, “For Love or Money?”, airs Sept. 18, followed by the season finale, “The Final Decision,” on Sept. 25. Production on the newly ordered seasons begins this fall, with new episodes set to air in 2027.
