MTV has renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race and its aftershow RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, while Paramount+ has renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked, as the franchise celebrates 11 Emmy nominations this year, including RuPaul’s record-extending 11th consecutive nomination for Outstanding Host.
What’s next for ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’?
RuPaul’s Drag Race returns to MTV for Season 19, following a Season 18 that delivered double-digit growth over the previous season and set a new franchise premiere viewership record. Season 18, which debuted Jan. 2. Myki Meeks winning the crown and the franchise’s first official makeup collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills. RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked also returns for Season 19.
What’s next for ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’?
Paramount+ has renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars for Season 12, following the return of its Tournament of All Stars format, which brought back queens to compete for a spot in the “Drag Race Hall of Fame.” Crystal Methyd won the title in the most recent season. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked also returns for Season 9.

The franchise earned 11 Emmy nominations this year, including Outstanding Production Design for a Variety or Reality Series, Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Nonfiction or Reality Program, Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program, Outstanding Choreography for Variety or Reality Programming, Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program, Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
