Susan Kelechi Watson has been cast as a series regular in the untitled Apple TV thriller from creator and showrunner Alex Cary, joining previously announced star Dakota Fanning. Deadline exclusively reported the news on Monday.
Watson will play Dawn, “a handler for US governmental covert operations,” per Deadline. Fanning stars as an undercover Treasury agent inside a multi-billion-dollar international conglomerate, “who becomes conflicted between her mission and a belief that her principal target, the heir apparent to all that corrupt power, is at his core a good man and worthy of her love.”
The previously announced cast also includes Stellan Skarsgård, Daryl McCormack, Grace Gummer and Joely Richardson.
The series is created and showrun by Cary, whose credits include A Spy Among Friends and Homeland.
From Sony Pictures Television, the series is executive produced by Cary through his FLW Productions banner under his overall deal with the studio.
