It looks like the ABC soap opera General Hospital will be bringing back some veteran stars who haven’t been seen on the iconic daytime soap in a couple of months. They’ll be back just in time for the 16,000th episode.
Both Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) were seen on set just as the show was taping the landmark episode.
Are Steve Burton and Finola Hughes going to be in ‘General Hospital’s 16,000th episode
Yes, it appears both stars have taped and have at least been recording for the show. Because they are recording at this time, it only makes sense that the longtime General Hospital actors would have a part in the major series milestone.
What to know about Steve Burton and Finola Hughes’s returns
Not much is known about the actors and their characters being back, but a video was posted on social media that revealed Burton and Hughes were back on set and in the mix.
The Instagram caption reads, “There’s nothing like celebrating a milestone with friends, family, and cake to cure a case of the Mondays. 63 years and 16,000 episodes later, we’re still going strong thanks to all of you! 🎂 Thank you so much for watching.”
When did the characters last appear on the show?
As TV Insider reported, Steve Burton last appeared on March 25, and said in February he would be taking a break from the show. He then revealed that he would be returning to the show in June. He explained why he took a break on his podcast with Bradford Anderson, stating, “I want to take a break. I want to live life a little bit and go enjoy.”
Hughes last appeared as Anna Devane back in February. Storyline-wise, Anna has been in France getting mental health treatment.
