‘I Will Find You’ Trailer Reveals First Footage For Netflix’s Latest Star-Studded Harlan Coben Adaptation

,

Netflix has released the trailer for I Will Find You, the latest series from the streamer’s ongoing partnership with author Harlan Coben. Based on his novel of the same name, the eight-episode series stars Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Chi McBride and Jonathan Tucker.

What is the series about?

According to the official description, the series follows “an innocent father serving life for the murder of his own son” who “receives evidence that his child may still be alive — and must break out of prison to find out the truth.”

In the trailer, Worthington’s character David says: “I’m currently serving a life sentence for killing my little boy. The thing is: I didn’t do it.” As Netflix’s Tudum notes, David’s sister-in-law Rachel (Lower) brings him a recent photo that appears to show his son Matthew alive, setting him on the run.

Worthington told Tudum, “David’s journey is one of healing and hope. It was the twists and turns of the story that appealed to me most.” Lower added of her character: “Rachel has never thought that David was guilty of the crime that he’s imprisoned for. Her curiosity about what actually happened is what sends her on that path.”

Who does Milo Ventimiglia play in ‘Will Find You’?

Ventimiglia plays Hayden, Rachel’s ex-partner, who joins the search. “Helping David is helping a father get back to his son,” he told Tudum.

Notably, Coben wrote the novel in tandem with the television series, marking a first for the author. “I came to showrunner Robby Hull with this idea, and we brought it to Netflix as a possible TV show while I was writing the novel, which I’ve never done before,” Coben told Tudum. “We shared a vision in how we wanted to tell I Will Find You so it will grip you, and not just grip you and move you, but really get emotional at the end.”

Robert Hull serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer alongside Coben. Bryan Wynbrandt and Steven Lilien executive produce and write. Brad Anderson and John Weber also executive produce, with Anderson directing alongside Maja Vrvilo, Adam Davidson and Maggie Kelly.

When does ‘I Will Find You’ premiere?

I Will Find You premieres June 18 on Netflix.
